Hi everyone! Jerry developed an infection in his PIC line, so they moved it to his other arm and are treating the infection with antibiotics. This is not uncommon, as PIC lines can get infected and have to be moved. The good news is that his lungs are showing clear on the XRay, which means no more pneumonia.
Everyone has been wonderful to all of us. Lots of you continue to ask what you can do to help. Well, we need to get him home and get some bills paid. An anonymous donor is willing to help us if we can raise some funds. I am in the process of setting up a fund at BB&T in Jerry’s name and should have more information to post on the blog later on. The medical bills alone are going to be astronomical, not to mention the day-to-day stuff. If anyone has any creative fundraising ideas, post a comment to the blog, email, or call us when you get the chance. Sorry if you get our voicemail, but we’re finding ourselves on the phone a lot these days. Like everyone, we love him so very much and want to bring him home soon.
